Does paint follow music or does music follow paint.  When Iva paints, she paints with music and though she loves oils it's really jazz, zydeco, and the blues.  Music is color.  Why do you think they call it THE BLUES?
Music is color and color is music and together they become art, Iva's Art.  A B-flat flies on the page, with a streak of green.  A-sharps dot orange onto the canvas as a strain of low notes wash a beautiful powder blue over a sunset.  A startling purple rush of saxophone strains sweep across bare breasts and we dance.  Iva Milson's art is sound and color and dance coming together.  It is a wonder the canvas doesn't move - or does it?  Red galoshes are filled with water as childhood dances across a night sky, fireflies caught in a jar, a thousand full moons captured forever then bursting into a flurry of color that sounds like laughter.  Iva Milson laughs and belly-dances and rolls and falls on the floor and speaks French and puts the human experience on canvas for all of us to feel and enjoy and move - experience a moment in time - present time - for that's all there is.
